ROTARY TEAM DEPARTS


The Rotary club of Rockhampton Fitzroy team is now leaving Brisbane for Oliveti village. The team left Brisbane airport this morning. Barry Tennent is leading the team on this trip.

The Rotary club of Rockhampton Fitzroy will arrive at Choiseul Bay airport (Taro) today Sunday, 02 July 2017. The team will continue to travel to Oliveti village the same day.

ROTARY TEAM RETURNS


The Rotary club of Rockhampton Fitzroy returned from Oliveti village.   Six member team arrived at Brisbane International airport yesterday Sunday, 09 July 2017 at 08:30pm. The flight was delayed. Thank you so much Rotary club of Rockhampton Fitzroy.


Early report indicates that some Oliveti clinic supplies were missing. The supplies appear to be missing somewhere between Honiara, and Oliveti village. Thus, project team members are discussing ways to track the missing supplies.


This website will add more information, and photos about the recent trip to Oliveti village later.

PLUMBER'S TRIP


The Rotary club of Rockhampton Fitzroy Plumber went to Oliveti village on Sunday, 03 September 2017. Some local Volunteer team members accompanied the Volunteers to Oliveti  village. The Plumber went to Oliveti village to complete the last plumbing tasks for the project.


The Plumber return to Taro (Choiseul Bay) on Tuesday, 05 September 2017. Thank you very much Rotary Club of Rockhampton Fitzroy for the great help that you provide for the people of Oliveti village, and Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands.

PROJECT IN PROGRESS


Oliveti clinic project needs some tasks before completion. Locals in Lauru Island are creating plans to complete the project before the opening ceremony. Thank you so much Rotary club of Rockhamptoon Fitzroy for sponsoring the project to come this far.

OPENING CEREMONY


The communities in Choiseul Province tentatively plan to open, and handover the new Oliveti Rural Health Clinic sometimes in march, 2018. In the meantime, the communities are trying to finish the final tasks before march 2018.

UPDATE


The last supplies for Oliveti clinic project will leave Honiara this week for Choiseul Province. A team of local Volunteers will go to Oliveti village to complete the last taks for the project. It will take the local  Volunteers from other villages in Choiseul about 3 - 4 days to complete the last works for the clinic project.

CLINIC UPDATE


Harler Polosovai provided an update about Oliveti clinic project today. All the works on the clinic building had been completed except for the seats for the waiting area outside the clinic building. The opening ceremony may be rescheched for early 2019. The government of Solomon Islands will provide clinic supplies, medicines, and a Nurse as soon as the clinic opens.
